Course Descrption
This introductory studio architecture course is a rigorous series of design investigations into architecture and the built environment. Students will develop and apply traditional and contemporary architectural skills (drawings, models) to interdisciplinary and significant design problems – especially the questions of what it means to be sustainable, and the sustainability of adaptive reuse. Creative and indexical study and analysis will be used to generate and foster a broad range of concepts and language to solve architectural issues involving site, construction, inhabitation, function, form and space.
